Student Travel Grants

If you need financial assistance in order to attend the conference, limited funding is available from Last Mile Education Fund on a first-come, first-serve basis. The final deadline to apply is July 15, 2026.
Eligibility:
  • Must be a Junior, Senior, or 2nd year Masters student actively enrolled at a U.S. institution
  • Must be majoring in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields
  • Must demonstrate financial need via a current FAFSA summary
  • Cannot have been previously funded by Last Mile for conference attendance in the 2026-27 school year
  • International students are not eligible
How to Apply:
  • Fill out the Last Mile common application and request $1,250 for “GMiS conference attendance” 
  • Upload a FAFSA summary and an unofficial transcript
  • Provide a LinkedIn profile with a photo
For community college students in cybersecurity or computer-science-related programs, apply for $500 in financial assistance from the Microsoft Cybersecurity Scholarship.
