The Research Posters Competition gives graduate and undergraduate students in STEM, computing, health, and medicine the opportunity to compete and showcase their scientific and technical expertise. Students submit a comprehensive technical abstract, from which presenters are selected to display their posters and answer questions during the poster session. Sponsorship of the competition supports award stipends for the top undergraduate and graduate winners. This is an excellent opportunity to identify potential employees and prospective graduate students early. Up to 150 posters will be accepted, and the top 3 winners will receive prizes.
The Research Poster Competition Portal will open on June 1 where you will be able to submit your abstract. Those selected to present at the GMiS Conference will be notified by July 17.
New for 2026, the GMiS Bot competition brings together top college talent for a fast-paced, hands-on competition where teams of 4–6 students design, program, and deploy virtual robots in a dynamic mini-arena. Working against the clock, participants apply software development and AI integration skills to solve real-time challenges, while building critical professional strengths in teamwork, communication, entrepreneurial thinking, and performing under pressure. The result is a real-world experience that mirrors the demands of today’s innovation-driven workforce. This program offers sponsors a powerful platform for sustained, meaningful engagement with emerging STEM talent through mentorship, brand visibility, and direct interaction. A great way to showcase a commitment to innovation while building authentic connections.
